Coelacanth, a four-legged "living fossil" fish that went extinct about 420 million years ago, was recently accidentally rediscovered in Madagascar, a tropical island nation in East Africa.
According to Mongabay News, the nonprofit environmental group found the coelacanth in the western Indian Ocean off the coast of Madagascar, when the fish was still alive and kicking.
